How to style your home using our 'WILD pastel Wallpaper'

Do you ever get a mental block when styling your home? What colour's go with the design of your chosen paper? or what furniture or accessories go with the over all look of the room? Well that's where i'm here to help.

What colours to use

Below is a moodboard of idea's and other complimtary colour way's that work with the design. As you can see working with he darker furniture and gold sit really well together, even looking at brass and other metallic coloured accessories really give the room an edge. lours should be what's used in the room the least. From my personal experience the darker the colours in the room the darker the room feels, which effects mood and productivity, so always go lighter!

Using a paler shade for the main wall colours in the room I feel is the best way for the wallpaper to shine on It's feature wall. If you feel the design may be too much for a full wall look at the areas of the room that have more of a feature but maybe less dominance. i.e the fire place or alcoves. This is a great way to use a busy design in a room without it being too over powering. This is based on personal preference really, but I love a bold feature in a room.

Complimenting furniture with your wallpaper.

When it comes to those bold patterns on the walls you need your furniture to sit nicely against them. This design in these colour ways works really well with those darker materials, blacks and dark woods would look stunning against the wall. The different pastel tones also work so well with gold accessories too.

Does this design work for a kids bedroom?

YES! Some designs come across more mature than others, but this design works so wonderfully well in other settings. If you have a fun energetic child then why not give them a room with some energy to it!? Again the colours here compliment a girls bedroom really well and bringing out more of those pastel pinks can make it much more feminine and friendly. Using furniture and decorative items in the pastel tones really soften the bolder of the design but still has something unique to it.

What next?

While typing these idea's and thoughts about the design it's really made me think about introducing more alternative colour ways, as i feel it could really give some completely different style of rooms. Perhaps a little experiment with colour one day should be had?

Watch this space, more variations for this design have to be a must!

Thank you for reading this weeks post and I hope you've found some inspiration and insight behind it.

See you soon!
